Horizon has been a part of this community event since its inception. Come be a part.
Horizon members and friends sign-up to receive updates and more information. If you are a community group wanting to join the parade see the information at the City of Carrollton's website.
Line-up begins at 9:30 am (9:00am for vehicles). The Parade starts moving at 10am. We suggest that you park by Albertson’s and walk behind City Hall and be in place by 9:40 a.m.
Generally our place in line is in the parking lot directly adjacent to the north side of City Hall on Rainwater. If we are further down the street someone from Horizon will stand in the southeast corner of the north city hall lot to direct you.
Show your support for strengthening the voices and connections of the many diverse races and cultures in our community. Walk to acknowledge the work yet to be done to achieve Dr. King’s dream.
Children under age 11 must ride, not walk, in the parade. We will have 2 vehicles, or you can pull a wagon or push a stroller.
Parade route starts on Rainwater Lane (behind Carrollton City Hall) and ends at Ted Polk Middle School. A program follows the parade at the middle school.
If you have ideas for how to decorate vehicles or for a way for our group to appear cohesive please indicate those in the comments.
